FAQs

  1. Q. Who is CourageWorks’ target client?

A.  This is our most frequently asked question.  Because our skills have universal appeal, we are more attractive to leaders with a specific purpose than to a particular market segment.

  1. Q. What are some examples of a leader’s purpose?

A. A few common purposes are: to grow the current and future leaders of the organization; to reengage a company affected by difficult times; to guide a major cultural shift; to create strong, effective leadership teams; to develop and/or clarify strategy; to merge two cultures following an acquisition; to embrace social responsibility.

In all cases, executive leaders are seeking a high level of mastery from the consultants who guide these initiatives.

  1. Q.  What distinguishes your work from other leadership-consulting firms?

A.  Because no two organizations are alike, our engagements are highly customized.  We bring a full complement of expert tools, models and intelligent resources to guide every process, yet our keenly adaptive teaching and facilitation skills are what separate us – and make the largest impact for the client.

  1. Q.  Can your services be unbundled?

A.  Yes, executive coaching and team building workshops are good examples of services that can be engaged on a stand-alone basis.  Many of our tools can also be applied separately if a client chooses.

  1. Q.  What is involved in a typical engagement?

A.  Unbundled services involve a few weeks or months, including prep, delivery and debrief.  Similarly, a retreat such as Dream Building can be a one-time event.

Our larger intention is to serve leaders who yearn to make a significant difference, both internally and externally.  A new brand of leaders creating high-performing organizations that are both fiscally and socially responsible – these are mutually rewarding engagements that require commitment, persistence and discipline.  Timelines vary depending upon whether the organization takes the teachings in-house, among other factors.  A successful transformation is a long-term commitment, not a short-term fix, and is intended to become a way of being that deeply strengthens the organization for years.

  1. Q.  What are the measurable results of a CourageWorks engagement?

A.  Early outcomes typically include reduced turnover and recruiting costs, improved survey data, and lower expenses.  In time, client retention rates, improved sales to existing customers, new business revenues, stronger earnings and other critical bottom line measures also improve.

  1. Q.  How would you summarize CourageWorks’ services?

A.  We provide a unique blend of consulting, coaching, working retreats and supporting tools and systems that deliver a powerful new model for 21st Century leadership.

Our intention is to help leaders create high-performing organizations that inspire excellence and serve purposefully.  We seek to optimize the organization’s potential by re-engaging human aspects that yearn to connect, explore and accomplish great things together.

A cultural transformation of this nature strengthens the organization to its core
and effectively serves the triple bottom line: people, profit and planet.
